Karen Elliott
As a Parish Councillor for Newton Flotman, I am proud to serve our village with a strong focus on community well-being, practical problem-solving, and open communication. I bring a wealth of experience in financial management, local engagement, and volunteer coordination, developed through both my professional and voluntary roles.
I currently volunteer with Newton Flotman Village Centre, supporting community-led initiatives and events that bring people together, and contribute to the social heart of our village. In addition, I am an active volunteer with the Chartered Institute of Credit Management, where I contribute my professional expertise to promote good financial practice and support small businesses and individuals in managing their finances responsibly.
My approach to council work is simple: listen carefully, act thoughtfully, and always seek fair, common-sense outcomes. I believe in making local democracy accessible, respectful, and responsive to the real needs of residents. Whether it’s supporting safer spaces, promoting village events, or helping with infrastructure concerns, I work hard to ensure Newton Flotman remains a great place to live for everyone.
